The Lithops are like humans: all similar and all different. In each sowing there are large and small, flat and elongated, intensely colored and colorless gray ... And that is a good thing: otherwise they would be like balls from the wheel bearing. For my collection, I will select as L. 'Café au Lait' the seedlings, which correspond to the description and photos in the Lithops Scrapbook. The others, who are beautiful, will also remain with the label 'ex-C309A'

Perfect choice, Boris! You try to reproduce the best plants, but the rest can still live happily. You may sell or donate them, if you do not have space to keep too many Lithops. Any person would love them. However, if you keep pollinating these 'ex-C309A', you might come up with more ' Cafe au Lait '.

Meanwhile, the seedlings have grown so much that I had to repot them. Now I already have two cups of coffee 8-) Here is one of them:

Hello everybody,

here comes a new photo of my new sowing L. gracilidelineata 'Café au Lait' C309A.
Sowing on 16 September, today is exactly two weeks from the date of sowing. The seedlings are approximately one week old. There were 24 seeds and today there are 20 seedlings, which corresponds to 83% germination rate. Seed from the last harvest of Tok Schoeman...

looking good Brom :) did you sow them on cotton wool to get such precise spacings or just good luck placing the seeds in the pot? mine tend to go in all over the place.

Hi mary44,

I distribute the seeds evenly over the surface. I do not use cotton 8-)

Haha, well it looks impressive. I am not sure I have the patience to be so precise :)
