Hello from Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

Postby Limania » Thu Jul 13, 2017 9:07 pm

My introduction as follows:

First:
Native speakers excuse my English, please!

Second:
"Limania" is put together of Li(thops) and Mania

Third:
The person behind "limania" is 58 years old, male and collecting cacti for about 50 years. My pa and grandpa had had some plants since the early 50ies, too. Echinopsis, Epiphyllum, some Aloe and (grandpa) one Espostoa senilis. My favourites were/are the south-american species, off and on a Lithops in free corners of the collection from the beginning. Then in 2007 I caught the Lithops-virus ...

Todays result ist:
About 800 adult plants (mostly without Cole), a few groups and hundreds of seedlings (mostly with Cole).
I always took what pleased me, unaffected from it's origin - and I 'll keep up this way in the future, too.
So I have some very interesting but single plants as well as pots with documented plants out of seeds from Mesa, Oz, Atomic Plant, Cono's Paradise and from Kelvin (GB) and own selections.
The following weeks I'll present the best pictures taken in the last years.

I think, I'll have a lot of fun with you!

Important:
I'm highly interested in swapping seeds or plants(as far as possible, customs etc.!!!)

My favourites:
The "mother" - a 3 headed type Bacchus. I named it type, because it appeared between a group of green salico seedlings from Grootscholten (NL) in 2007, so I don't know if it's a real Sato's violet/Bacchus or a separate cultivar. The descendants after crossing with pollen from a normal salicola are up to 75% purple. The color often appears before they get their first new leaves even. In growing they are slowly a little bit, but the seedlings always have been of good healthiness. I hope I can cross the mother with one of the F1 this autumn .
