Re: Mesa Garden or Oz Lithops

Thats a bad idea Brom. Message it to friends maybe but not post it here. You forget people in the U.K, with our lousy postal service, cannot make use of email or PayPal to order seeds, my list usually arrives 3 to 4 days after other peoples. I'm not saying the way it is now is fair, but the playing...

Re: Mesa Garden or Oz Lithops

A much better iidea would be to place the MSG seed list right here, so that all MSG members have the same chances to buy the seeds. Thats a bad idea Brom. Message it to friends maybe but not post it here. You forget people in the U.K, with our lousy postal service, cannot make use of email or PayPa...

Re: Mesa Garden or Oz Lithops

I think you need to work out which seeds you want and compare the listings for pricing. Although Oz Lithops do charge a lot for their rare seeds the seeds are very good quality, and many of the more common seeds are reasonably priced and you do get a lot of seeds in each packet. It is probably work ...

Re: When things get hot

I planted some lithops into deep 7 inch BEF pots last autumn, and am waiting to see what the results of their deep root runs are. I will be fascinated to see whether they grow faster or have better root systems now. Of course we aren't dealing with the same heat issues you have to face.

I have enjoyed meeting you all here on the forums and the chance to share our hobby, all the more so because of all the different growing conditions we encounter around the world. I am looking...

Very nice. A nice set of colours. I see the pinker seedlings appear to be the correct colour according to your link :)

Re: When things get hot

Ah, ok that makes sense. For some reason I thought some were planted in the ground. Maybe you plan to do this eventually? Must be fun to try to mimic actual growing conditions.

Re: When things get hot

Mary airflow is good. Shade is 40% which is mush more than nature. The fact that they are in pots and not in open soil make a huge difference to them tolerating heat. As Australian is mentioning below, If they are fine again after the moisture of the night, then they are OK. I like to see them like...

Re: When things get hot

Wow.. Is that purely from heat? Otherwise maybe more shading? Or air flow?

Re: Aloe varigata

It's a beauty! Mine grow in the greenhouse here, maybe they could survive outside in the U.K.
