Re: Mesa Garden or Oz Lithops

Hi Pete, that sounds like a good idea buying local. What Brom did not know, was that if you were keen to join the MSG, I would email you the seed list when I had it. Thanks Allen. As I said it is just to expensive at this stage. I do realize the value of joining such a group. I am currently member ...

In any case, I would not recommend you to join MSG only because of the seeds. Because the February issue with the seedlist you will get in South Africa maybe in Apr...

I hope 2018 will bring more successful growing! Thank you Australian. You will be the first to be in the n...

Re: Lithops gracilidelineata C309A 'Café au Lait'

You can't expect all seeds to germinate at the same time ... That is completely correct! These seedlings germinated within two weeks. And here, too, my observation has been confirmed: The seedlings that germinate later take much more time to develop! Interesting. So not only slow to start but also ...

Re: When things get hot

I plan to pot my Lithops into a 22 cm deep pot. However, I will fill the 8 cm with very coarse scoria to avoid moisture to accumulate there. A friend of mine, who is an experienced Lithops grower, has measured Lithops roots as long as 14 cm. The stronger the rook system is, the stronger the plant s...
