Re: Lithops 'Rubra Gold'

Hello Allan1,

may I ask how these seedlings have evolved?
I do not have this cultivar, unfortunately I did not get seeds from the MSG list 2016.

You have done that very well, Jürgen! But hibernation outside will not work here in the Erzgebirge, we often have –13 °C even in this mild winter.

Unfortunately, Mesa Garden did not manage to finish my small order without errors. This happens almost every year.

Re: Lithops 'Green Ivory' Matk´s nursery

those plants are allmost bigger than my 2016 sowing! Hmmm ... they are not growing fast enough for me! This is no joke! Here for comparison a photo of C166, which were sown at the same time. Although the germination rate of these vallismariae was not so perfect, some seedlings are twice as large, a...

Re: sowing fresh seed

I got these seeds in autumn 2015 and unfortunately there are no more from this harvest, which is a pity. Some of these hybrids are really beautiful and I would like to have more of them... I do not want to name the source, but I have seen the mother plants and they are pure L. steineckeana. They wer...

Re: sowing fresh seed

Your Steineckeana seedlings do look more like the real thing than those from my own plant. I think mine must have crossed with L. pseudotruncatella that was in flower at the same time. They look more like the latter. So far anyway. Now my L. steineckeana C388 are one year old and I can tell you tha...
